Just start applying to places! You’ll never know if they will accept you untill you try. A lot of places focus mostly on how much money you make…so you may be in luck!

If he is making 30 dollars an hour and still can’t pay his bills? I would question if he is in recovery.
You are looking in the wrong neighborhoods. You need to be looking in the neighborhood where the other felons and druggies live. I am sure you know which one that is.
You both have bad credit. Landlords can deny you based on that alone.
Neither of you have a history of taking care of your finances.
Add in the drug related felony, which most landlords consider an automatic denial in itself and you are going to have an impossible time.
You either need to find a gullible, newbie landlord that does not check credit or criminal histories or look in the undesirable parts of town where landlords don’t care about who they rent to.
